Yoga For Stress & Mental Health – Winter 2012

Join us this winter for our new course:  Yoga for Stress & Mental Health.

This 6 session course is suitable for people who want to maintain mental wellness, who are experiencing stress/chronic stress in life, or those living with mild-moderate depression or anxiety.

The course will address how the mind-body experience stress and chronic stress and a yogic perspecitve on depression and anxiety.  Students will learn a variety of yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation practices that calm and settle the nervous system as well as those that invigorate and energize the mind-body.  Students will be guided to reflect on their needs and be provided with practical tools to maintain wellness.

The course will be on the following 6 Sundays, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ~ April 1 to May 13 (no session on Easter Sunday) in the southwest area of Hamilton. 

Fee:  $240 (12 hour course)

Registration by March 15.

Spring Schedule Changes

Dear Students & Friends:

This spring, The Yoga Path will be offering day time drop-in classes with Caroline.  Our evening schedule of classes will not be running for the spring semester.

We will continue to offer yoga and meditation workshops as well as private and semi-private lessons either at The Staircase or at a home studio in the Aberdeen-Dundurn area.  Private lessons are good for people who:

 - have a yoga practice and want to work on specific poses

- have NO previous yoga experience and want to begin a yoga practice

- are suffering from physical ailments or emotional stress and are seeking a yoga practice geared to these specific needs

Unfortuantely, our Level 1 & 2 adult hatha yoga class is cancelled due to poor weather conditions.  Please join us on March 30th for the final session of this class.

Pre Natal Yoga Begins – Monday, February 14th

We are pleased to offer Pre-Natal Yoga this winter/spring starting Monday, February 14th, 8:20-9:30 pm.  Please arrive early to register.  Students may register for classes until mid June or their due date.
